Jogon-in Temple covered by snow.  (Azuchi, Shiga) This place is famous for the Buddhist argument between Pureland Sect and Nichiren Sect held by the warload Oda Nobunaga in 1579. But as this temple is standing on suverb rice field, it's hard to notice its significance.

Fushimi-Inari Torii Gates (Kyoto) - This southern Kyoto shrine is famous for the thousands of vermillion torii gates in a row along the pilgrimage paths on the small mountain. Each torii gate was donated by company or wealthy merchant praying for prospering buisiness.This place is also the starting point of the mountain trail route of surrounding Kyoto City. If you follow the signs, you can make a mountain round trip of Kyoto City passing through Mt.Hiei and Arashiyama.
